Why visit the Cape?….

Connected to the Florida peninsula by a sliver of land, Cape San Blas is home to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, named the best beach in America (2002) by Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman (a.k.a. Dr. Beach). Cape San Blas, located near Port St. Joe along the Florida Panhandle’s Emerald Coast, is truly a vacation paradise. Here, you’ll find miles of uncrowded, pristine, white sand beaches. Among the other attractions: fishing, kayaking and boating, family-owned restaurants serving fresh Florida seafood, and the famed Cape San Blas lighthouse. Frequently rebuilt and relocated in response to eroding seas, the 101-foot-tall, 131-step lighthouse and two accompanying buildings may be moved to Port St. Joe. But you still can see the top of the tower from Cape San Blas Road and inventive visitors who don't mind walking a mile or so along the beach can get a good look.

Lunsford party of 3…

Rick, Robin and daughter Tatum currently resides in Georgia on a small family farm east of Atlanta near Athens. While they would love to spend more time on the Cape, life seems to keep them busy in Georgia. In their spare time, they love a good home project, activities such as golf and tennis, and SEC football! (It’s not uncommon to hear "Go Dawgs!” from the gals, while Rick, a UT grad, dances to the tune of "good 'ole Rocky Top")

gets its roots from four generations and patriarch of my family. My younger sister first coined the phrase "Coy T" ,

The name “Coy T. by the Sea”

when she named her Oklahoma ranch after our father, the man who has taught us the strong sense of family to which we hold so dear. She has since purchased an adjoining property that is host to a unique, one hundred year old cabin and beckons the call to guests as well. We hope you will come experience our 'still, quiet beach home;' and if you ever head west to Pawhuska, Oklahoma (home of Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman), please consider staying a spell at "The Cabin on the Coy T."

which means 'still, quiet woods,'

“The Forgotten Coast”

….but still remembered in the hearts of those who visit.
